Privacy
This site keeps the book’s promise: it will not pretend. Here is everything it knows about you, in plain language.
Reading
You can read the entire book without an account, a cookie, or a popup. We use Vercel Web Analytics, provided by our host, to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets no cookies, keeps no persistent identifier, does not follow you across other sites, and collects no personal information. We see aggregate numbers, not people. Nothing is sold or shared with advertisers.
We also keep our own simple daily tally of visits. It is a one-way hash of your IP address and browser, scrambled together with the date so it cannot be linked back to you or followed from one day to the next. We never store your IP address, only a running count. Nothing here identifies you.
The newsletter
If you leave your email address, it is used for exactly what was promised where you left it: to send you the free PDF of the book and word on how the project is coming along. Delivery is handled by Kit, which processes your address on our behalf. Every email contains an unsubscribe link; unsubscribing or asking us to delete your address removes it.
Hosting
The site is served by Vercel, whose infrastructure may keep short-lived technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security and operations, as most web hosts do.
